What is your job situation?

I have a full-time art director gig at Next Creative Co. in Holland, Michigan. I balance that with some freelance work while selling art prints, t-shirts and some other design goods. Don't worry, Next is cool with the side-hustle.

What does your design process look like?

I like to do an intake meeting with the client, then do some of my own research. Then I work to make sense of it and figure out what it means. After that, I do some thinking and some sketching and some swearing. And once I/we come up with a plan, I make it a real thing. Sometimes it changes a bit depending on the project and how it’s going, but that’s basically it. Pretty simple, really.

What is your availability for freelance work?

How much do you charge for freelance work?

Every project is so different. And most projects can be scaled to work with your budget. Shoot me an email and let's talk.

How do you like to charge/bill for freelance work?

I typically charge on a project-by-project or retainer basis. Never hourly. I like to charge 50% up front to start the project, then I bill the rest when I'm done.

How can I pay you for design work?

Credit card or check, baby. I'm not about to turn my nose up at cash though. It'll all be clear on the invoice.

What's the deal with your t-shirts?

The t-shirts are screen printed with super soft water-based inks on Next Level Apparel garments by the lovely people at Clockwise Tees in Philidelphia, PA. They're packaged and shipped by me from my home office in Grand Rapids, MI.

Do you ever offer store discounts?

First off, that's super rude. But yes. All the time. Just keep an eye out on my social media accounts or sign up for the mailing list and I’ll let you know when something comes up.

What is your refund/exchange policy?

Refunds and exchanges will only be accepted if you received the wrong size, wrong design or there is a flaw in the garment, print or whatever design good you ordered. The garment cannot be returned or exchanged if it has been worn or washed.
